The Door Tucson

Wednesday Night the 27th I was allowed to preach to my home church here in Tucson. This is always a joy and a great challenge as I am aware of the quality of ministry they enjoy on a regular basis. From Pastor Warner and the other staff who are constantly feeding the saints gourmet meals from God's word, it is sometimes a fearful thing to preach from the same pulpit. I believe God helped us on Wednesday as I preached a new message entitled "Healing The Cursed Waters". Thanks Pastor Warner for the opportunity and Thanks Tucson Saints for your open hearts.

Tucson-22nd St.

I had the priviledge of preaching Sunday Services for Gordon Porter last Sunday, the 24th. Gordon and his wife Mary, along with 2 of their daughters have been laboring at the 22nd St. Potter's House for the last 6 years. They are currently experiencing a time of growth. I haven't preached in this church for a while and it was a real encouragement to see the many new faces and a renewed joy in the faithful saints who have labored there for many years. This church has undergone extensive remodeling and rallied themselves for a fresh vision and labor in the harvest field. They are now experiencing the fruit of their labors. This weekend they are putting on a "Haunted House" for any who would like to attend. The theme is "Funeral For A Lost Soul", the times are 7-11 P.M. Friday And Saturday October 29,30. Admission is Free. Pray for The Porters as they labor with us for the Tucson harvest field.

Blythe, Ca

My second revival in October was in Blythe, Ca. Blythe is a town of about 14,000 people on I-10 just across the Colorado River. The church was pioneered in the late 70s and is now Pastored by Steve Brazell. Steve, his wife Becky and their daughter Dannae have been laboring there for the last 2 or so years. Steve and Becky are best known for their faithful labors in Glendale, Az. where they pastored for 20 years. After a brief time in their home church in Prescott, they returned to the harvest field to pioneer in North Tucson and are now laboring in Blythe.
The Revival actually began Saturday night with their "180" music scene. Steve's son Nathan brought a group from Glendale, Az. and daughter Dannae ministered with her group from Blythe. These, along with an invasion team from Star Sullivans' church in Tucson (Grant and Alvernon) saw a great kickoff for our Revival week. Their music scene has seen great fruit recently with many young people coming in. God gave us a wonderful meeting with visitors and people getting saved almost every service. Each night the attendance increased and God moved in many areas with people saved, delivered and healed. The last night we saw 3 young men pray for salvation. Pray for this church in Blythe as a new wave of people are coming in and need to be established in the things of God.
As a local note for the saints in Tucson, Jose and Maria Urbina pastored this church from 1982-1985.
This revival took place October 17-21.

Midwest City, Ok

It's been a while since I've posted and my only excuse is its been a busy couple of weeks (that's my story and I'm stickin' to it). My first meeting in October was at Midwest City, Ok. This is a suburb of Oklahoma City. The church was pioneered and is currently pastored by Larry Jalomo. Larry and his wife Tina were sent there 8 years ago out of Amarillo, Tx (Serafico Saavedra). While the church has had its ebb and flo of growth, one thing that stood out to me was the awesome presence of God in the worship service and the raising up of quality disciples. Larry and Tina have their adult children assisting them in various capacities in the ministry and what a great joy it is to see our children going on to serve the Lord and accessing all that God has for their lives. Our Revival week was fruitful as we saw souls saved and backsliders rededicate their lives to Jesus, I really believe God is sending them into a time of momentum and growth. God is beginning to help this church in the Plains of our country and others in this area are beginning to see breakthroughs. Pray for the Church in Midwest City! This revival took place October 10-14.

Ruidoso, NM Revival

I just returned home Friday from a revival in Ruidoso, NM. The church was pioneered and is pastored by Billy and Juanita Jones, along with their daughter Sara Sue. Billy and Juanita were sent out from the Lighthouse Church in Santa Monica (Rob Scribner) six years ago and are beginning to see the fruits of their faithful labors. We began Sunday Morning with great attendance and 2 people saved. All through the week we saw a steady stream of visitors and people saved and helped by God. They have a good mix of people beginning to catch the vision for their city to win it for Jesus. We saw God move in families in the church with some relatives saved and also saw an influx of young people. Wednesday night Pastor Billy asked me to stay over for Thursday, where we saw a fresh group of visitors. The impact of the revival was amplified by the attendance and support of the Alomogordo church pastored by Bob McGinnas. They sent over 20 people on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (not to mention the invasion team the Saturday before) which made all the difference in the world, Tuesday night there was a powerful prophecy and the presence of God was intense in that pioneer work! I was once again reminded of how we can't do what we do by ourselves.
Another report that is worth sharing at this time is what happened the Saturday before the revival. Pastor Joseph and Melanie Lujan from Socorro, NM came up to help on the invasion team. After they were on the road for about an hour, one of the children of their congregation became very ill. They returned to Socorro and ministered to that family, got back in their car and made the trip to Ruidoso where they labored on the outreach. While on the outreach their daughter was attacked and mauled by a dog. Even after being treated at the local hospital, they stayed and performed a puppet show that evening in the church. While staying after Melanie was playing some of her Rap tapes for the pastor when some family members of people in the church stopped by to see what was going on and some of them fell under conviction and got saved. I was humbled as I heard the report of their dedication and perseverance. I had to ask myself would I have pressed through that way just for an invasion team? Thank God for Saints who inspire us!
