HOUSTON REVIVAL

I just returned from my first trip to Houston, Texas. We did a revival that went Thursday through Sunday the 2nd - 5th. The church is Pastored by Tony Arroyo. Tony, his wife Marina and their family answered the call to Houston 8 years ago after serving as Assistant Pastors to Paul and Renee Stephens in El Paso, Texas. Their church is a thriving body that really is on the verge of taking the next step into raising disciples for the harvest field.(as a sidenote when Tony started talking about pioneering, Marina said "anywhere but Houston"). They have a great mix of age groups from teens, young marrieds and older established families. As the revival went on we could feel that God was challenging many to rise to that next level of commitment and discipleship that it takes to be a mother church and a place that many would rise to the call of God on their lives. Please pray for the Arroyos and all who are laboring in the Houston area. Many are seeing breakthroughs after many years and resources that have been poured into that city. From the Tucson congregation Jerry and Glenda Fussell, Richard and Yolanda Rubi, Herb and Donna Rubi also labored in that city (if I left anyone out, please forgive me). There have been many others who have labored without seeing the fruit they so desperately wanted. The early pioneers are now beginning to see their prayers and sacrifices answered by several churches being established in that city.Pray for Houston!
