Cape Cod Wedding
After I finished the revival in Las Vegas, NM. I hopped on a plane to travel to Cape Cod to see my son Wesley get married. I don't know if it is a record, but we saw all of our children married in less than three months. Vanice and I are still trying to catch our breath. My daughter Kara was married May 1st and daughter Ashley was married May21st.
The wedding on the Cape took place July 24th. What a blessing it was. All of our immediate and some extended family was able to attend, as well as many friends from Tucson including the best man which was Pastor Alvin Smith himself. The people from the church opened their homes to us, provided transportation and blessed us in so many ways that all we can say is we are humbled by all they did for us when we were back there. Pastor Campo preached on Heritage in the wedding service on Sunday Morning, and there was just a tremendous grace and presence of God as he ministered. Wesley married Hannah Mclardy, whose parents have served God for over 20 years in the Cape Church. Both of our families have always prayed for our children to find the right people to marry and you could feel God's approval that day.
As the weekend went on I was reminded of something I hadn't really thought about before. When they planted the Cape Cod church back in the early eighties, Pastor Warner took a pledge to support that work. My wife and I gave a weekly amount to support this work and others that were going on at that time. We had no idea that one day our future daughter-in-law would come from this church. I don't say this to boast of our giving, but for us to realize our giving can come back to us in so many ways, and as Pastor Campo preached in his sermon, God can orchestrate and put things together that we could never dream up in a million years. God is good.
