Cape Cod Wedding

After I finished the revival in Las Vegas, NM. I hopped on a plane to travel to Cape Cod to see my son Wesley get married. I don't know if it is a record, but we saw all of our children married in less than three months. Vanice and I are still trying to catch our breath. My daughter Kara was married May 1st and daughter Ashley was married May21st.
The wedding on the Cape took place July 24th. What a blessing it was. All of our immediate and some extended family was able to attend, as well as many friends from Tucson including the best man which was Pastor Alvin Smith himself. The people from the church opened their homes to us, provided transportation and blessed us in so many ways that all we can say is we are humbled by all they did for us when we were back there. Pastor Campo preached on Heritage in the wedding service on Sunday Morning, and there was just a tremendous grace and presence of God as he ministered. Wesley married Hannah Mclardy, whose parents have served God for over 20 years in the Cape Church. Both of our families have always prayed for our children to find the right people to marry and you could feel God's approval that day.
As the weekend went on I was reminded of something I hadn't really thought about before. When they planted the Cape Cod church back in the early eighties, Pastor Warner took a pledge to support that work. My wife and I gave a weekly amount to support this work and others that were going on at that time. We had no idea that one day our future daughter-in-law would come from this church. I don't say this to boast of our giving, but for us to realize our giving can come back to us in so many ways, and as Pastor Campo preached in his sermon, God can orchestrate and put things together that we could never dream up in a million years. God is good.

Las Vegas, New Mexico

Coming out of The Prescott Bible Conference I began revival services with Pastor Ray Rubi in Las Vegas, NM. Ray, his wife Patsy and family have labored for many years here and have seen tremendous fruit not only in numbers, but in the raising up of disciples, planting churches, establishing a yearly boot camp for youth and being a true representation of what it means to be a leadership church. Their yearly Harvesters Homecoming is growing and that could bring bigger things in the near future. They started their boot camp this week, so keep them in your prayers.
It is always an honor for me to preach here as the Las Vegas Church invested in my ministry way back in 1985 (the dinosaurs were roaming the earth) when my family was sent to Junction City, Kansas to pioneer a church. They partnered with Tucson to support that work, we have never forgotten their investment in us. Their church is still investing in Kansas as they have 3 churches now in the Wichita area, one of them is pastored by Gabe and Rebekah Rubi which is Ray's son and Rebekah many of you know is from our home church in Tucson.
The Revival-God gave us a true visitation of his Spirit in the revival with precious souls saved every service, backsliders returning to God, we had great attendance every night. Words were given to many people that really ministered to what was happening in their lives. One night I was walking out of the service with Assistant Pastor Anthony Trujillo and a lady who was under conviction in the service, prayed and received Christ right in the parking lot. I was also given the opportunity to share my testimony on a local radio station through a door opened with Pastor Trujillo. What a week!!
Pray for the Rubi's as they labor here. They are seeing a great move of God in this time, but as we know there are battles to fight. I was thinking of the words Paul spoke to the Corinthians when he said "For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries". We can assist them in prayer to break through to the next thing God has for them.
