Lancaster, Ca.

I just returned from Lancaster, Ca to minister a revival for Pastor Fred Gonzales, Jr. Fred and his wife Michelle and 7 (that's right 7) children have labored here for a little more than 2 years and are currently seeing an explosion of revival that began about a month ago. People began pouring in from about Easter and God is doing a powerful work. They had one service recently where they had about 11 people filled with the Holy Ghost on regular Sunday morning service. In our revival on Tuesday night we saw 6 people pray for the Holy Ghost and all 6 were filled. Praise God! The only way I can describe the revival God gave us was it rerminded me of the early days of Tucson, where there was such a hunger and an expectancy for God to move with a wonderful presence of God and annointing in the services. I told Pastor Fred that Wednesday morning I woke up with a Holy Ghost hangover (that's a good thing).
What was noticeable about this church was the mix of people. Black, White, Mexican and even a Norwegian in the mix. People who were older established family people and people coming out of prison and all sorts of addictions. Some were delivered and some were in the process of being delivered. But all with an overwhelming confirmation of conversion and the grace of God that was evident in their lives. One young man named James told his boss and friend that he got saved and they both began to weep even though they weren't even saved! They knew what happened to him was genuine. We saw many saved, healed and set free through the week, but I left this revival overwhelmed by what God is doing there. At the end of a revival people are often tired and need a break (including the evangelist). But at the end of this revival, people were asking Pastor Fred, " there's no more church until Sunday?"
Lancaster is one of the destinations of the summer invasion team this year. If you have the opportunity to go, I would greatly encourage you to do so, God will use you and you can see first hand what God is doing.

Vallejo, Ca.

May 15-18 I visited Vallejo, Ca. to preach a revival for Pastor Stuart Reblin. Stuart and his wife Teresa have labored in this city for over 10 years now and have seen tremendous impact for God as they have established a solid church with committed disciples and a vision to reach out to the lost. I really value their friendship over the decades we've known each other.  I have been privileged to minister several times in this church and it is a great blessing to see the growth in those who get saved and mature in Jesus.
We started the revival in Concord, Ca. as an outreach endeavor with a baby dedication Sunday morning and an evening service there as well. Sunday morning we saw many extended family members that came for the dedication and God stirred me to preach on Bible prophecy and the recent tsunami in Japan. Some responded to the altar call and a few were also healed. Monday - Wednesday we brought the revival back to the church in Vallejo and God visited us in a special way with His presence and with words given to many in the church. Pray for the Reblins as they labor in this area as they are seeking new areas to outreach and looking for open doors for the gospel.

Marion, Illinois

April 24-28 I travelled to Marion, Il. The church has been pastored by Tony Thomley for the last 9 years. Tony and his wife Dion were saved under Pastor Joe Campbell in the early years of this church and were risen up as disciples to eventually Pastor the church they were saved in. One thing that stands out in the Marion church is the long-term dedication of the saints. I was saved in 1980 and there are people in this church that were saved at the same time as me. They still are involved in World Evangelism by sending their pastor to other nations 2-3 times a year to conduct revivals and healing crusades. Not only that, but while I was there they were announcing an Invasion Team to the neighboring city of Sparta, Il. for an outreach that was supporting a revival they were having. This church is not a large church but you can still feel the pulse of revival and the vision to reach the lost pumping through its veins. God gave us a great revival with a number of people saved and some new faces that God ministered to. I am so privileged to do what I do as an Evangelist as I am able to develop rich friendships with other Pastors as we labor together in the gospel.
Pray for the Thomley's as they labor there in Marion. One of the prayers I pray for long term pastors and churches I preach in is " God, bring a harvest of their prayers, labors, seeds planted, giving and sacrifices made in this city"

Rio Rancho NM

April 17-20 I travelled to Rio Rancho, NM to preach a revival for Pastor Keith Mickens. Keith, his wife Shelly and family have been laboring in Rio Rancho for appx. 9 years. They are now seeing a new thrust and momentum of the Spirit of God in their services. Souls are being saved, disciples are being raised up and a fresh new wind is blowing in their church. I believe this is " a time of refreshing" and I was reminded how God rewards faithfulness to His Kingdom. We could feel God moving from the opening service on Sunday morning with people saved and on throught the week as we saw a mixture of God touching visitors and young converts as well as God beginning to stir some of his faithful saints. It gives me just as much joy to watch an older convert begin to rise again and rededicate themselves as it does a brand new conversion.
Pray for the Mickens as they are beginning to grow out of their building and are in the process of looking for other facilities. Pastors agonize over these things as they know how a move affects the church and the struggle to find the right area/building is always a challenge.

Wedding Bells

I haven't updated my blog for a while because we are in the middle of all of our three children getting married in the next three months. Pray for us! We began May 1 with our daughter Kara marrying Jaime Borquez. What a blessing it was to see her getting married in the church with presence of God and the "cloud of witnesses" in attendance. It was also a great joy because we know they want their lives to be used by God to fulfill His purposes in their lives. There is no greater joy I can think of at this moment. Our youngest daughter Ashley will be getting married Sat. May 21 to Shawn Smith here in Tucson and our son Wesley will be marrying Hannah McLardy in Cape Cod, Ma. July 24. So, if I drop off the radar for a while, you'll know why.
